The Facilities & Operations Department's responsibilities include asbestos AHERA management, boiler operations, carpentry, cleaning, electrical maintenance, grounds keeping, locksmithing, courier services, painting, plumbing, small engine mechanical work, snow plowing and warehousing.

The department is responsible for almost 400,000 square feet of school and district office building space.  With a staff of 23 people comprised of custodians, maintenance and office personnel, the mission of the department is to provide a safe, clean and comfortable environment in which the education of our community's youth can be accomplished.  The department maintains playgrounds, bleachers and athletic fields including the turf management and set-up for various sports and extracurricular activities.  The department maintains eight separate athletic fields as well as five gymnasiums.
