High School Gym Renovation

As part of a proposition approved by residents in October 2024, the Red Hook High School gymnasium underwent a complete renovation in summer 2025 and into the fall. The floor and bleachers, original to the school’s 1963 opening, were to be replaced to improve the safety and accessibility of the space. The knee wall, part of a stage that was closed off following the opening of the Performing Arts Center, was removed and the space is to be used for more bleachers. The bleachers are scheduled to be installed in October.
