Teachers overseeing the Crossroads classes at the Mill Road elementary schools declared the six-week enrichment program a success as the winter session wrapped up.
The Storycrafters, Barry Marshall and Jeri Burns, performed for Mill Road Primary School’s pre-K classes, telling stories with accompanying music and hand motions to involve the students.
Garden instructor Douglas Keto is teaching Mill Road Intermediate School students about erosion by testing miniature shorelines. Using angled tubs filled with sand and rocks, the students are invited to build paths for the water in one tub and arrange impediments in the other.
