About me!

Hello from Mrs. Melitski
  • Hello!  Welcome to Technology Education!  I'm Mrs. Melitski, and I'm happy to have you in my class this year.  This is my 6th year teaching in the Red Hook Central School District.  I am certified not only in Technology Education (STEM/Engineering) from K-12, but also in English (ELA) for grades 5-12.  This means that while I love teaching and exploring all things STEM and engineering, I also expect my students to read and write on a regular basis.

Students find out very quickly that I love everything related to technology - computers and computer applications, 3D printing, the internet of things, how technology works, the history of technology, robotics, space exploration, engineering, sustainability and alternative forms of energy, and so much more.  I enjoy sharing my passion for technology and how technology of all kinds impacts us in our real world.

When I'm not in school, I'm constantly learning.  I love to read and am constantly exploring new concepts.  I'm often found with my nose in a book (or close to my Kindle screen!), and I very often have more than one book going at the same time.   I also love to swim, camp, cook, spend time with my family, especially outdoors, and walk my dog, Holly.
