My Teaching Philosophy
My philosophy on teaching teachers how to use technology is not to get too obsessed with the tools but focus more on the "what" they want to do with them. We don't need to know how a hammer is made to be able to swing it at a nail. J The same applies in the world of technology. Learn the basics, be always mindful of a few simple do's and don'ts, and have at it! You're not going to break anything, and you will be pleasantly surprised at what you can accomplish.
A Little Bit About Me
I am a native of Massachusetts who has called the beautiful Hudson Valley in Dutchess County home for the past 31 years. I graduated from nearby Marist College with both my bachelors and Masters degrees. I have been a part of the Red Hook Central School District since 2004 when I was hired into the then newly-created position of Director of Technology. I have one husband, three daughters, three dogs, two cats, 24 laying hens and 23 baby chicks. In my spare time, I like learning new things and doing activities that take me out of my comfort zone - I've met the most interesting people doing so!
