• Home Schooling Information

New families that decide to provide home instruction should draft a letter of intent to the Red Hook Central School District attention Janet Warden.  Letters can be mailed to Red Hook Central School, 9 Mill Road, Red Hook, NY 12571 or emailed to curriculumoffice@rhcsd.org

On behalf of the Superintendent of the Red Hook Central School District, Dutchess BOCES will be providing support for Red Hook Central Schools home instruction program for the remainder of the school year.

Please review our Home Instruction Manual, which outlines New York State Education Department regulations for Home Instruction.  The manual also contains sample forms to assist you in preparing the required reports per Regulation C.R. 100.10. You can continue to utilize any forms that you have used in the past.  Families have found this manual to be very helpful in ensuring understanding of NYSED regulations.

All home instruction reports should be sent directly to Dutchess BOCES, preferably by email (homeschooling@dcboces.org) and include your return email address.

Acting upon authorization of your district superintendent, my staff and I will serve as your point of contact for questions you may have regarding home instruction and complying with New York State Education Law C.R. 100.10.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Jenny Schinella or Cathy Rothschild homeschooling@dcboces.org or call (845) 486-4840 ext. 4613.
