Elementary Bus Transportation - Change in Procedure 

The district will continue to offer parents the option to have their child(ren) transported to other established bus stops in the afternoon for certain activities (e.g., playdates, babysitters, etc.).  We will, however, be implementing one important process change for the coming school year: 

Parents must submit, in writing, bus change requests in the morning before 10 a.m.  We will no longer be taking verbal requests for bus changes over the phone.  Last minute verbal requests create two problems (i.e. verifying the identity of the caller(s) and increasing the probability of transportation errors).

While Red Hook CSD continues to be relatively unique among school districts in honoring a variety of transportation changes, parents should limit the number of changes. As the number of changes increase, so too does the possibility of error.
