Print-by-Email Instructions
Printing via email to our Toshiba multi-function devices is available as a supplement to standard print services. The two major benefits this capability brings to the district are printing from a personal device or queuing a print job from home for release upon arrival in the district. No software is required other than whatever you may be using to access your district email account.
To print a document by email send the document as an attachment to one of the following email addresses:
monoprintsimplex@rhcsd.org - single-sided, monochrome output
monoprintduplex@rhcsd.org - double-sided, monochrome output
colorprintsimplex@rhcsd.org - single-sided, color output
colorprintduplex@rhcsd.org - double-sided, color output
Advanced printing features such as folding, stapling, and hole-punch are not available when printing-by-email. If such features are required then you must use the standard direct-printing function from a district-provided computer.
Due to limitations of this service only the following attachment types can be printed:
DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, PPT, PPTX, TXT, PDF, XPS, BMP, DIB, GIF, JFIF, JIF, JPE, JPEG, JPG, PNG, TIF, TIFF
If you need to print a web page or other types of files then they must be converted to intermediate format such as PDF before being sent. On a Mac you can use the regular Print menu to convert a printable document to PDF by clicking on the PDF button in the lower-left corner and selecting Save as PDF. Since this conversion may be problematic please open the converted file before sending the file for printing.
If your print request was received successfully, then you should receive a reply email indicating the names of the attached files have been received and are being processed along with a link to check the status. Please note that if you are outside of the district or using a personal device on the district wireless network you will not be able to access the status page. After a few minutes you should be able to release your emailed print jobs from any of the district's Toshiba printers per the normal card-swipe or username & password login.
