MILL ROAD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CLOSED TUESDAY, JUNE 24

Mill Road Elementary School and District administrative offices will be closed on Tuesday, June 24, following a minor electrical fire after school hours Monday.
A fuse malfunctioned in the electrical system, causing the fire in a maintenance space. The building itself did not sustain any damage. While repairs are underway, district officials decided it is in the best interest to all students and staff to remain closed for the day as the electrical system is tested under the extreme temperatures forecast.
Changes to planned building events will be communicated separately by Principal Dr. Brian Boyd and Assistant Principal Kristen Strothmann.
The closure will not impact the academic calendar. All testing and scheduled activities at Linden Avenue Middle School and Red Hook High School will proceed as scheduled.
An update will be sent to families and staff on Tuesday.

How to pay your Red Hook Central School District taxes
 

School tax payments may be made by any of the following methods from Sept. 3, 2024 through Oct. 2, 2024 without penalty:

  • Dropped off at the walk-up dropbox of Red Hook Central School District Office, 9 Mill Road, Red Hook, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on all regular business days with a receipt mailed by the receiver of taxes. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays excluded.
  • Mailed to Red Hook Central School District Tax Collector, P.O. Box 29, Red Hook, NY 12571
  • To send your taxes overnight or by certified mail, use Red Hook Central School District Tax Collector, 9 Mill Road, Red Hook, NY 12571
     

NOTE: Payments made from Oct. 3 through Nov. 1, 2024 will incur a 2 percent penalty. Any taxes not received or U.S. postmarked by close of business on Nov. 1, 2024 will be turned over to the respective County Commissioner of Taxes for collection.
