Four students pose together in costumeMill Road Elementary last week celebrated “Vocabulary Day” throughout the building.

Each student was asked to choose one challenging word relating to science, which they could then learn and teach others through either dressing up as the word or wearing its definition.

Classes then partnered with their buddy classrooms to share what they had learned and were wearing.

The goal of Vocabulary Day each year is to build knowledge of vocabulary words while also placing an emphasis on scientific concepts and ideas.

The students had a blast dressing up as their words and sharing with friends.
