    Welcome

The Red Hook Central School District was organized on October 26, 1937 after a fire destroyed the Union Free School District building thereby providing the impetus for 11 Common and Union Free school districts to centralize.  On September 6, 1939, the district dedicated a new central school on Linden Avenue.

Since centralization, growth in the community resulted in the construction of a grades 9-12 high school in 1962, and the 1968 construction of an elementary school housing grades PreK-2 in a primary wing and grades 3-5 in an intermediate wing. The original central school, now the Linden Avenue Middle School, currently houses grades 6-8.

The district encompasses approximately 90 square miles and includes portions of the towns of Red Hook, Rhinebeck, and Milan in Dutchess County as well as Clermont and Livingston in Columbia County.

Enrollment is just under 1,600 students in grades Pre-K-12 for the 2022-23 school year.

    Using the SchoolMessenger App

How do I sign up for the SchoolMessenger App?

You must have a valid email address and it must be listed in eSchoolData. If you have an eSchoolData Parent Portal account, you will use your Parent Portal email address.

Simply follow the “Return to login” link and login. Use the “Forgot your password” link if needed to reset your password to an existing account.

After authenticating via the link sent to your email, return to the SchoolMessenger App and sign in using your email and password.
